Hats off to the boys at Wente. They have the quite magnificant 1997 Wente Charles Wetmore Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Livermore Valley. This wine is an amazing accompanyment to a steak dinner, or on its own, and is definitely a winner! This one comes highly recommended and at a price of less than 15 Euro at Dunnes Stores, is a must for everyones cellar!

John Malkovich's directorial debut The Dancer Upstairs is showing at the Pheonix Cinema's Film Club in Dingle on Tuesday the 11th. It stars Javier Bardem and Laura Morante and is the story of a policeman who is set the task of tracking down a mysterious revolutionary leader, Ezekiel, but falls in love with a dance teacher.

Documentery on Harry Thuillier Jnr, the acclaimed Irish photographer, who died in mysterious circumstances in Milan in December 1997. Art Lives examines his upbringing and influences and attempts to delve beneath the surface of this truly talented and unique individual. Born in Dublin, Harry studied Photography in Memphis, Boston and Florida. Following a nervous breakdown, he returned to Ireland. When he lost 80% of his vision in his right eye, his work, which had always been noted for its particular darkness, took another turn and he was forced to discover an alternative means of expressing himself through photography.
