LEADING IRISH ELECTRONIC ARTIST TO PERFORM IN TRALEE.

Herv (Ewan Hennelly), will be playing at ClubHeadBangBang in The Greyhound Bar "Beergarden" on Thursday 2nd of December, playing hisfirst ever live set in Tralee. Herv has become one of Ireland'sbest-known and most influential electronic musicians inthe past five years, releasing a considerable catalogue of music on labels athome and abroad. His live sets are based on using a laptop and a NintendoGameboy running custom software, and incorporate frantic swarms of 8-bit melodyand syncopated percussion, punctuated by warm accordion and violin lines.

Herv has played with Max Tundra, The Jimmy Cake, Dalek, Estel, Jape, Spectac,The Last Sound and others. He has played at the Mor Festival and DEAF (theDublin Electronic Arts Festival), and has had videos for his music shown onRTE's No Disco and more recently as part of the Darklight film festival. TheIrish Times described his music as "electronic music with considerable widthand depth; you'll find yourself drawn back to these rough rythms time and timeagain", and he has recieved glowing reviews from Foggy Notions and Mongrelmagazine, amongst others. He co-runs the Compactrisc record label with TomO'Doherty. DJ Modh Coinniolach, also playing on the night, plays glitchy hiphop, avant-garde pop music, post-punk hits (and misses), Austrian marching bandmusic from the 1840s and snippets of Fugazi and Autechre.

The event starts at 8pm, and there is no cover charge., entrance is free and there is no charge to get in.
